Head of Fundraising – Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis

£35,000 - £40,000 – depending on experience

Haddenham, Buckinghamshire

OMS was founded in the UK in 2012 and completed its first full year of operation in 2013. During this time the charity has focused on building its foundations.
OMS is a positive lifestyle program that aims to help people live long, healthy lives without the usual problems associated with multiple sclerosis. OMS is based on rigorous scientific research and offers the real potential for people with MS to recover, using relatively simple mainstream secondary and tertiary prevention with appropriate modification of lifestyle risk factors.
We are seeking a Head of Fundraising to work with the Chief Executive and Board to take OMS confidently forward into the next stage of its growth by working towards the ultimate objectives of sustainable funding, integrated marketing and heightened awareness of the organisation and its aims.

Key to these goals will be the implementation of a fundraising strategy designed to build long-term relationships and maximise income to meet or exceed agreed targets from a range of sources, to include: Grant making trusts; donors; sponsored challenges; high net-worth individuals.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in fundraising in a not-for-profit organisation, or as an income generator in a sales environment. You will also have experience of fundraising from high net worth individuals in a not-for-profit or commercial environment.
With excellent communication skills, you will be a self-starter and team player, with creative and strategic vision to deliver our fundraising goals and marketing initiatives.
